Bay Paul Center Journal Club
Meets 2 P.M. on Tuesdays in the BPC conference room ( Lillie 317 )
The Bay Paul Center Journal Club offers the Woods Hole scientific community a forum for discussion of current biologically relevant literature. Participants in the journal club are expected to lead a group discussion detailing the experimental design and findings of a research article. The articles are selected from the recent primary literature and chosen by the presenter. Topics presented previously include molecular evolution, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, ecology, structural biology, and bioinformatics.
The purpose of our journal club:
Increase exposure to a wide range of interesting scientific topics.
Give individuals a place to practice and improve public speaking skills.
Develop points of common interest among the broad range of BPC scientists.
Series to resume in fall of 2008
